The Home Services Lead Ad Swipe Report

44 Meta ads that local service businesses have kept paying for, some for over four years. Curated from the Meta Ad Library, ranked by how long each ad has survived, with the exact angle worth borrowing from every one.

July 2026 edition · Roofing, HVAC, Pest Control, Plumbing, Lawn & Tree, Windows, Solar (AU) · Ad links live as of 29 July 2026

Why these 44 ads

Meta shows no performance data for commercial ads, but it shows two things that matter: how long an ad has been running and whether the advertiser is running multiple versions of it. Nobody keeps paying for a losing ad for 6, 12 or 48 months. Every ad below is active right now; runtimes are counted to 29 July 2026. Click any ad to see the live creative in the Meta Ad Library.

How to use this report: don't copy the ads, copy the decision behind them. Each entry has a "steal this" line: the one mechanism making that ad work. Swap in your offer, your suburb, your proof.

The 9 patterns that keep showing up

  1. The price-anchored micro-offer. "$59 tune-up", "$49 inspection". The longest-running ads in this entire report are simple dollar-figure service offers. The price is the hook, the ad barely needs anything else.
  2. Free inspection tied to an event. Storm, monsoon, season change, rebate deadline. "Free roof inspection" alone is wallpaper; "free inspection because of last week's hail" runs for years.
  3. The geo callout. "SACRAMENTO HOMEOWNERS", "Greater Nebraska residents!", "NSW homeowners". Naming the place in line one is the cheapest relevance you can buy.
  4. The trust stack. Years in business + review count + licensed/bonded + family/veteran/firefighter owned. Boring, and it never stops working.
  5. The education-fear hook. "Mulch draws termites", "hidden damage shows up weeks after the storm", "half the air you breathe comes from your crawl space". Teach one alarming fact, then offer the inspection.
  6. The contrarian insider. "Get a second opinion on that AC quote", "you're paying for the salesman's commission", "tired of solar companies selling hot air". Position against the industry's bad actors.
  7. The story opener. "Mid-shower, fully lathered, and BAM, the hot water cuts out." One specific moment beats ten adjectives.
  8. The value bundle. Tune-up + free plumbing inspection, lawn program + free bug barrier, free aeration after month three. Bundles lift perceived value without discounting the core service.
  9. Scarcity with a real calendar. "Booking March through May", "this month only", "rebates drop January 1". Fake urgency dies; scheduling reality converts.

Roofing / 11 ads

The most competitive lead-gen niche on Meta. What survives: storm-event angles, insurance hand-holding, and anti-storm-chaser trust plays.

"Even after storms pass, the threat to your home remains for weeks and even months. Even if it looks fine from the ground..."

"$59 A/C Tuneup. Keep your A/C running all season long. We're your local HVAC experts."

Method & honesty notes

Curated 29 July 2026 from the public Meta Ad Library across roofing, HVAC, pest control, plumbing, lawn & tree, windows, and Australian solar. Meta publishes no CTR or cost data for commercial ads, so we use the two strongest public signals: runtime (advertisers don't fund losers for months) and multiple versions (advertisers scale what works). These are proxies, not guarantees; a big budget can keep a mediocre ad alive. Runtimes counted to 29 July 2026. Links open the live ad in the Ad Library; Meta removes commercial ads from the Library once they stop running, so some links will expire.
