We’re going to cover 5 options from hardest to easiest:
The most common, yet most time-consuming way of downloading Facebook leads is to access leads from Facebook Ads Manager.
To access your leads, navigate to the Lead Ads Forms section within your Facebook Page’s Publishing tools. From the Campaigns tab, click on your lead ad campaign, then the ad set name then you’ll get to the Ads tab. You should now see a clickable link in the Results column.
Once you click on the On-Facebook Leads download link, you’ll be presented with a “Download Leads” popup asking you to select the date range.
If you have just the one ad running, this is all well and good, but if you’re split testing multiple ads, downloading leads this way is a pain. Firstly, it’s manual, meaning you actually have to login to Meta ads manager to download your leads as a csv. Secondly, you’ll have to download the leads from each separate ads… quite annoying!
If you use this method, be sure to download your leads regularly as Meta only keeps your leads for 90 days.
Your next best option for downloading leads is to access them in the Meta Leads Center via the Facebook Business Suite. Note that the Facebook mobile app does not support viewing or downloading lead data directly; you will need to use a mobile web browser and request the desktop version to access the Ads Manager.
If you can’t find the link to Leads Center, try this one: https://business.facebook.com/latest/leads_center
Once you’ve accessed the Facebook Leads Center, assuming you’ve generated some leads, you should see a download button toward the top right.
Clicking on this link will download all your leads based on any filters you have applied. It’s always a good idea to select your date range before you download leads.
The quickest and easiest way to download leads as a CSV is to add them to a Google Sheets Document automatically. To do this, you’ll need a 3rd party service such as our very own Google Sheets lead ads integration.
With LeadSync’s Google Sheets integration, downloading your Facebook lead ad data becomes automated; you don’t have to manually login to Ads manager or Meta Leads Center to download leads, you’ll be able to open a Google Sheets doc and see you ads instantly.
Each time your Facebook lead ad campaign generates a new lead, the information from the lead form is automatically transferred and added as a new row in a Google spreadsheet. This integration ensures that every detail captured in your Facebook lead form, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and any other form data, is seamlessly organized into your Google Sheets.
Whether you’re tracking hundreds of leads or just a few, this integration ensures your data is always up-to-date and easily accessible. You can quickly filter, sort, and analyze your leads within Google Sheets, enabling more efficient follow-ups and better decision-making. Plus, with the collaborative features of Google Sheets, your team can access and work on the data in real-time, from anywhere.
If you’d prefer to have leads delivered to your email inbox instead of downloading them, you can set up Facebook lead email notifications via 3rd party services such as LeadSync.
While Meta’s ad network is a powerful tool for generating leads, surprisingly the platform doesn’t send email notifications with lead data. This absence of immediate notifications can lead to delays in follow-ups, potentially causing missed opportunities to engage with potential customers at crucial moments.
To address this gap, we offer email alerts functionality, ensuring you receive prompt notifications from your Facebook Ads Account.
In addition to the above, LeadSync also provides over 30 CRM and email marketing platform integrations so you can access your leads from your Facebook page via your CRM or email marketing platform instantly.
Some of our popular integrations include:
ActiveCampaign
Copper CRM
Hubspot
ConvertKit
ZohoCRM
MailChimp
To get the most out of your Facebook Lead Ads, it’s essential to optimize them for maximum effectiveness. Here are some tips to help you achieve better results:
Craft Compelling Ad Copy: Your ad copy should be clear, concise, and compelling. Highlight the benefits of your offer and include a strong call-to-action to encourage users to fill out the form.
Use Eye-Catching Visuals: High-quality images or videos can grab users’ attention and make your ads more engaging. Ensure that your visuals are relevant to your offer and resonate with your target audience.
Keep Forms Short and Simple: The fewer fields your form has, the more likely users are to complete it. Only ask for essential information to reduce friction and increase conversion rates.
Leverage Pre-Populated Fields: Facebook Lead Ads can pre-populate form fields with users’ information, making it easier for them to submit their details. Use this feature to streamline the user experience.
Target the Right Audience: Use Facebook’s advanced targeting options to reach the most relevant audience for your ads. This can help improve the quality of your leads and increase your chances of conversion.
Test and Optimize: Continuously test different elements of your ads, such as headlines, images, and form fields, to see what works best. Use A/B testing to compare variations and optimize your ads for better performance.
By implementing these tips, you can enhance the effectiveness of your Facebook Lead Ads, generate more high-quality leads, and ultimately drive better results for your business.
The best way to assess which option is best for you is to take your time into consideration as well as the time it takes to view Facebook leads and respond to them.
As mentioned, studies have shown that responding to leads within an hour can significantly increase lead conversion, so response time is imperative.
If you’re generating more than 10 leads per week, and your leads are worth $$, then it’s worth investing in an automated solution such as LeadSync.
