How to Send LinkedIn Lead Gen Leads to Hubspot Instantly

If you’re running LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, you know the pain: leads sit in LinkedIn Campaign Manager while your sales team waits. There’s no native LinkedIn HubSpot integration to automatically sync those leads to your CRM. That means manual exports, delayed follow-ups, and lost opportunities.

This guide shows you how to create an automated HubSpot LinkedIn integration that sends every Lead Gen Form submission directly to HubSpot as a new contact—in real-time, with full field mapping.

Why You Need a LinkedIn HubSpot Integration

LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms are powerful for B2B lead generation. Pre-filled forms mean higher conversion rates, and you’re reaching professionals in a business mindset. But without a LinkedIn CRM integration, you’re leaving value on the table:

  • Speed to lead matters: Responding within 5 minutes makes you 21x more likely to qualify a lead. Manual exports can take hours or days.
  • No manual data entry: Copy-pasting from LinkedIn to HubSpot wastes time and introduces errors.
  • Trigger workflows automatically: When leads land in HubSpot instantly, you can trigger email sequences, assign to sales reps, and update lead scores—all without lifting a finger.
  • Complete lead history: Every interaction is tracked in HubSpot from the moment they submit the form.

What You’ll Need

  • A LeadSync account (Business plan or higher)
  • LinkedIn account with access to Lead Gen Forms
  • An active LinkedIn Lead Gen Form campaign
  • A HubSpot account (free CRM works)

How to Set Up Your LinkedIn HubSpot Integration

Follow these steps to connect your LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to HubSpot. The entire setup takes about 5 minutes.

Step 1: Connect Your LinkedIn Account

  1. Log in to your LeadSync account
  2. Go to Ad Accounts > LinkedIn from the left menu
  3. Click Add LinkedIn Account
  4. Sign in to LinkedIn and authorize LeadSync to access your lead data
  5. Your account will appear in the table once connected

LeadSync uses OAuth for secure authentication—we never see your LinkedIn password. We only request the minimum permissions needed to access Lead Gen Form submissions.

Step 2: Connect Your HubSpot Account

  1. Go to Connections from the left menu
  2. Click Add Connection
  3. Select HubSpot from the dropdown
  4. Click Connect to HubSpot and authorize LeadSync in the HubSpot OAuth window
  5. Name your connection (e.g., “LinkedIn Leads to HubSpot”)
  6. Click Update Connection

Pro tip: If you have multiple HubSpot portals, make sure you’re logged into the correct one before authorizing.

Step 3: Connect Your Lead Gen Form with Field Mapping

This is where the LinkedIn HubSpot integration comes together. You’ll map your LinkedIn form fields to HubSpot contact properties.

  1. Go to Lead Forms from the left menu
  2. Click Add LinkedIn Lead Form
  3. Select your Ad Account from the dropdown
  4. Select your Lead Gen Form
  5. Select your HubSpot Connection
  6. Map your fields (see mapping guide below)
  7. Click Update Notification

Step 4: Test Your Integration

Submit a test lead through your LinkedIn campaign. Within 1-2 minutes, you should see the new contact appear in HubSpot with all the mapped fields populated.

To verify: Go to HubSpot > Contacts and search for the test email address. You should see all the LinkedIn form data attached to the contact record.

LinkedIn to HubSpot Field Mapping Guide

Proper field mapping ensures your LinkedIn leads land in HubSpot with complete data. Here’s how common LinkedIn Lead Gen Form fields map to HubSpot contact properties:

LinkedIn FieldHubSpot PropertyNotes
EmailEmailRequired. HubSpot uses email as the unique identifier.
First NameFirst NamePre-filled from LinkedIn profile
Last NameLast NamePre-filled from LinkedIn profile
Phone NumberPhone NumberMay be pre-filled if user has it on LinkedIn
Job TitleJob TitlePre-filled from current position
Company NameCompany NamePre-filled from current employer
Custom QuestionsCustom PropertiesCreate matching properties in HubSpot first

Important: Email is required for HubSpot contacts. Always include the email field in your LinkedIn Lead Gen Form and map it to HubSpot’s Email property.

What Happens After Leads Sync to HubSpot

Once your HubSpot LinkedIn integration is running, you can automate your entire lead follow-up process:

Trigger HubSpot Workflows

Create workflows that trigger when a new contact is created from your LinkedIn integration. Examples:

  • Send an immediate welcome email
  • Assign to a sales rep based on company size or location
  • Add to a nurture email sequence
  • Create a task for follow-up call
  • Notify your team in Slack

Lead Scoring

LinkedIn Lead Gen Form leads are often high-quality because they come from users actively engaging with your sponsored content. Consider giving them a higher initial lead score in HubSpot to prioritize sales follow-up.

Track ROI

With leads flowing directly into HubSpot, you can track them through your entire sales pipeline. This gives you accurate attribution data for your LinkedIn advertising spend.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Can’t See Your LinkedIn Ad Account?

Make sure your LinkedIn account has admin access to the ad account you’re trying to connect. You need Lead Gen Form access in LinkedIn Campaign Manager. If you’re using a business’s ad account, ask your admin to grant you access.

Leads Not Appearing in HubSpot?

Check these common causes:

  • Email field not mapped: HubSpot requires email to create a contact. Verify your field mapping includes email.
  • Duplicate contact: If a contact with that email already exists, HubSpot updates the existing record rather than creating a new one. Check the existing contact’s activity timeline.
  • Invalid email format: If the lead submitted an invalid email, HubSpot may reject the contact.

Lead Gen Form Not Showing in LeadSync?

Your Lead Gen Form must be part of an active or paused campaign to appear in LeadSync. Draft forms that haven’t been used in a campaign won’t be visible. Create a campaign using the form first, then it will appear.

HubSpot Connection Expired?

OAuth tokens can expire. If your HubSpot connection stops working, go to Connections, delete the HubSpot connection, and re-authorize it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does LinkedIn have a native HubSpot integration?

LinkedIn doesn’t offer a native integration that automatically syncs Lead Gen Form submissions to HubSpot. You need a third-party tool like LeadSync to create this connection. HubSpot’s native LinkedIn integration is focused on ads management, not lead sync.

How fast do leads sync to HubSpot?

Most leads appear in HubSpot within 1-2 minutes of form submission. This is significantly faster than manual exports from LinkedIn Campaign Manager, which many teams only do daily or weekly.

Can I sync leads to multiple HubSpot portals?

Yes. Create a separate HubSpot connection for each portal, then select the appropriate connection when setting up your lead form. You can even send the same form to multiple HubSpot portals if needed.

What about custom fields on my Lead Gen Form?

Custom questions from your LinkedIn Lead Gen Form can be mapped to custom properties in HubSpot. First, create the custom property in HubSpot (Settings > Properties > Create property), then map the LinkedIn field to it in LeadSync.

Is my data secure?

Yes. LeadSync uses OAuth for both LinkedIn and HubSpot authentication—we never store your passwords. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We only access the minimum permissions needed to sync your leads.

Start Your LinkedIn HubSpot Integration Today
