Copper CRM is built for Google Workspace teams. If you’re running your business on Gmail and Google Calendar, Copper is your natural CRM home. But manually moving Facebook leads into Copper wastes time and creates data entry errors. LeadSync closes this gap — Facebook leads become Copper People records in seconds, with every custom field automatically mapped and ready for your sales team to work.
This integration works because Copper’s API is straightforward and LeadSync handles field mapping automatically. Setup takes about 10 minutes.
Copper is the CRM that understands how Google Workspace teams work. Here’s why LeadSync + Copper is a winning combination:
Copper requires two pieces of authentication: your account email and your API key. Both are found in one place.
Log into your Copper account. Click on your account icon (top right) and select “Settings.” Look for “API Keys” in the left sidebar. You’ll see your account email at the top and your API Key below. Copy both — you’ll need them for LeadSync.
Keep both the email and key handy. Lose the API key? You can regenerate it anytime from this same page, but you’ll need to update LeadSync with the new key.
Log into LeadSync. Click “Connections” in the top menu, then “Add Connections.”
Find Copper in the dropdown list. You’ll see two fields: “Email” and “API Key.” Paste your Copper account email in the first field and your API key in the second. Name this connection (example: “Copper – Main Workspace”) and click “Update Connection.”
LeadSync validates both credentials immediately. If you see a green checkmark, the connection is live. If you see an error, verify that you copied the full email address and full API key with no extra spaces or line breaks.
Now tell LeadSync which Facebook form to monitor. Click “Lead Forms” and select “Add Facebook Lead Form.”
You’ll need admin access to the Facebook page where your lead form is hosted. LeadSync will prompt you to log into Facebook and grant permission. After that, select your lead form from the dropdown.
In the “Destination” section, select your Copper connection from the dropdown. Click “Update Notifications.”
That’s it. Every lead submitted to this form will now sync to Copper as a new People record.
LeadSync automatically maps standard fields (name, email, phone). But if your Facebook form includes custom questions, you’ll want to map those to Copper custom fields so your team has the full context.
Go back to your lead form connection and click “Edit Field Mapping.” You’ll see all form fields on the left and available Copper fields on the right. Match them by dragging or using the dropdown menu.
Only Copper custom fields that already exist in your account will appear. If you created a custom field in Copper but don’t see it here, refresh the page or wait a minute for LeadSync to sync with Copper.
Submit a test lead to your Facebook form and watch Copper. Within 10 seconds, a new Person should appear in Copper with all fields populated correctly.
If nothing appears, check LeadSync’s Activity log (on your dashboard) for error messages. Most issues are API credential problems — double-check that both your email and API key are correct.
Once syncing is live, you can fine-tune how leads are created and tagged in Copper.
If your Facebook form asks questions that don’t have a standard Copper field (like “What’s your budget?” or “How soon do you want to start?”), you’ll want to create corresponding Copper custom fields.
In Copper, go to Settings > Customize > People > Custom Fields. Click “Add Custom Field,” choose your field type (text, dropdown, date, etc.), and save. Once saved, the field will appear in LeadSync’s field mapping interface.
Map your Facebook form question to this new custom field so the answer flows through automatically.
LeadSync creates Copper People records but doesn’t automatically create Opportunity records (which live in pipelines). You can use Copper’s automation to convert People into Opportunities with a specific status, or your team can manually drag People into the pipeline.
For example, set up a Copper workflow: “When a Person is created, create an Opportunity in the Sales Pipeline with status ‘New Lead.'” Now all your Facebook leads go straight into your pipeline automatically.
If you have multiple Copper workspaces or want to segment leads by campaign, create separate Copper connections in LeadSync. For example, “Copper – Product A” and “Copper – Product B,” each with its own API credentials.
Then connect different Facebook forms to different Copper connections. Leads stay organized by campaign automatically.
If the same email address submits your form twice, Copper’s deduplication typically catches it and updates the existing Person record instead of creating a duplicate. You can also enable Copper’s “Merge People” feature in Settings to clean up duplicates manually.
Copper CRM is one piece of the puzzle. LeadSync syncs the same leads to email, SMS, Slack, Google Sheets, and dozens of other tools — all from one Facebook form.
Many Google Workspace teams use Copper + Email + Slack. This keeps leads in your CRM, alerts your team immediately, and centralizes conversation in Slack.

Copper’s API requires both to authenticate. The email identifies your account, and the API key verifies your permission. Together, they’re more secure than password-based auth. You can regenerate your API key anytime from Copper Settings if needed.
Most leads appear in Copper within 10 seconds of form submission. Copper’s infrastructure is fast, and LeadSync prioritizes lead delivery. This speed matters for sales teams that follow up immediately.
LeadSync creates People records. You can then use Copper automation to convert People into Opportunities with a specific status, or your team can drag People into pipelines manually.
Yes. Set up multiple Facebook lead forms in LeadSync, all pointing to the same Copper connection. They’ll all feed into the same Copper workspace. Use custom field mappings to differentiate them if needed (e.g., campaign name or source tag).
LeadSync syncs whatever Facebook collects. If someone submits your form with just a phone number, Copper will create a Person with that phone number. Email is not required for a Person record to exist in Copper.
Yes. After a lead appears in Copper as a Person, you and your team can edit any field manually. LeadSync only pushes data on initial sync — it doesn’t overwrite existing Copper data later.
You’ll need to update it in LeadSync. Go to your Copper connection in LeadSync, paste the new API key, and click “Update Connection.” Syncing resumes immediately after validation.
Yes. Create separate lead form connections for each platform (Google, LinkedIn, TikTok) and point them all at the same Copper connection. All leads land in Copper with consistent field mappings.
LeadSync logs every sync attempt. Check your Activity log in the LeadSync dashboard for detailed error messages. Most failures are API key issues or field mapping mismatches. If you’re stuck, email support@leadsync.me and include your connection name — responses typically come within 1 hour.
Your Google Workspace team deserves a CRM that moves as fast as you do. LeadSync puts every Facebook lead in Copper instantly, ready for your sales team to work.
