How to Send Google Ads Leads to AWeber with LeadSync

AWeber is built for automating email sequences and growing your list. But it can’t directly import leads from Google Lead Form Extensions. That gap means your Google Ads leads either sit in Google Ads Manager or get lost in manual data entry.

LeadSync closes that gap. It takes Google Ads leads and delivers them to your AWeber list within seconds. Your autoresponder starts immediately. Custom fields sync automatically.

Quick Start — 5 Steps

  1. Connect LeadSync to your Google Ads account
  2. Set up an AWeber connection (OAuth—no API key)
  3. Select your Google Lead Form Extension
  4. Map your custom fields if needed
  5. Launch. Leads start arriving instantly

Full setup in about 10 minutes. Your first lead appears in AWeber within 1-2 minutes of the Google form being submitted.

Why Sync Google Ads Leads to AWeber?

Google Ads Lead Form Extensions let you capture leads without sending traffic off Google. But those leads stay trapped in Google Ads Manager unless you manually export them. AWeber is one of the longest-running email marketing platforms for small business and solopreneurs, and it’s built for automating email sequences—but it needs a way to get those Google leads into your list.

  • Custom fields created automatically in AWeber. If your Google form has custom fields that don’t exist in AWeber yet, LeadSync creates them for you. No manual setup needed.
  • Leads arrive within seconds. Your autoresponder fires immediately. Day-zero sequences start without delay.
  • Full name parsing. If your Google form collects a full name, LeadSync automatically splits it into first and last name in AWeber.
  • All standard fields sync. Email, name, phone, address, custom fields—everything maps directly.
  • Connect leads from multiple platforms. Google, Facebook, LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, and TikTok all route to your AWeber list simultaneously.

No Zapier. No monthly integration costs. No risk of the integration breaking when Zapier updates their API.

Step-by-Step: Connect Google Ads Leads to AWeber

Step 1: Connect Your Google Ads Account to LeadSync

Log into your LeadSync dashboard. Click Ad Accounts in the left menu, then click Google.

Click Add Google Account. You’ll be redirected to Google’s login page.

Sign in with the Google account that has access to your Google Ads account. Google will ask for permission to let LeadSync access your lead form extensions.

Click Allow. You’ll be redirected back to LeadSync, and your Google account will appear in the account table.

Step 2: Set Up Your AWeber Connection

Click Connections in the top menu. Click Add a Connection.

Select AWeber from the dropdown list. You’ll be redirected to AWeber’s login page.

Log in with your AWeber email and password. AWeber will then show you a permission screen asking if you want to allow LeadSync access to your account.

Click Authorize or Allow (exact wording varies by AWeber version). Your access token is granted automatically, and you’ll be redirected back to LeadSync.

Step 3: Name Your Connection and Select Your List

You’re back in LeadSync. Give your connection a name, like “AWeber – Google Ads.” This helps you identify it if you add multiple connections later.

Click Update Connection. LeadSync will pull your AWeber lists and show them in a dropdown.

Select the AWeber list where you want Google leads to arrive. We recommend creating a dedicated list for Google Lead Ads so you can run a separate automation workflow.

Click Update Connection. Your AWeber connection is now live.

Step 4: Connect Your Google Lead Form Extension

Go to the Lead Forms section in LeadSync. Click Add Google Lead Form.

Select your Google Ad Account (the account you connected in Step 1). Then select the specific Lead Form Extension (the form that appears in your ads). Finally, select your AWeber connection.

Click Update notification. LeadSync is now monitoring this Google form.

Step 5: Map Custom Fields (If Needed)

If your Google form asks for fields beyond name and email—like job title, company, or custom fields—you’ll want to map those to AWeber so the data ends up in the right place.

In the Lead Form setup page, scroll to Field Mapping. Match each Google form field to the corresponding AWeber field.

If a field from your Google form doesn’t exist in AWeber, LeadSync will create it for you automatically. The mapped field will be created when the first lead with that field arrives.

Click Update notification. Your mapping is saved.

Step 6: Test the Connection

Before scaling up, submit a test lead through your Google Lead Form Extension. Check your AWeber list a minute or so later to confirm the lead arrived with all fields populated.

If everything looks correct, you’re ready to launch your full ad campaigns.

Important Note: Google Ads Account Owner Access Required

To connect your Google Lead Form Extension in LeadSync, your Google account needs to have access to the Google Ads account where the lead form is running. If you don’t have direct access, ask the account owner or administrator to grant you the necessary permissions.

Customizing Your AWeber Integration

How Custom Fields Are Created

When you map a Google custom field to AWeber during setup, LeadSync doesn’t create the field immediately. Instead, it creates it when the first lead with that field arrives. This means your AWeber field structure grows with your lead flow.

You can also create fields manually in AWeber first, then map them in LeadSync. Either way works fine.

Full Name Parsing

If your Google form collects a single “Full Name” field but AWeber expects separate first and last name fields, LeadSync automatically splits the full name.

Just map “Full Name” from Google to “First Name” in AWeber, and LeadSync will handle the parsing. Last name will be captured as well.

Using a Dedicated AWeber List

We strongly recommend creating a separate AWeber list for Google Lead Ads. This lets you run a dedicated automation workflow for these leads without affecting your other lists.

In AWeber, click Create List and name it “Google Leads 2025” or similar. Then select that list in your LeadSync connection.

Multiple Google Forms to One AWeber List

You can send leads from multiple Google Lead Form Extensions to the same AWeber list. Go to Lead Forms in LeadSync and add multiple forms, all pointing to the same AWeber connection and list.

This is perfect if you’re running different ad campaigns with different forms but want all leads in one central AWeber list.

Go Beyond AWeber: Multi-Channel Lead Routing

AWeber is great for email automation, but your leads might need to go to other channels too.

LeadSync lets you route the same Google Ads leads to multiple destinations simultaneously:

Many users combine AWeber for nurture sequences with Slack for immediate team alerts. That way your email grows the relationship while your sales team jumps on hot leads right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast do Google Ads leads sync to AWeber?

Leads arrive within 1-2 minutes of form submission in most cases. Your AWeber autoresponder starts immediately.

Will LeadSync create fields that don’t exist in AWeber?

Yes. If you map a Google custom field to AWeber and that field doesn’t exist in AWeber yet, LeadSync will create it automatically when the first lead with that field arrives.

Do I need special Google Ads permissions?

Your Google account needs access to the Google Ads account where your Lead Form Extensions are running. You don’t need to be the account owner, but you do need sufficient permissions to view lead forms.

Can I send leads from multiple Google Ad Accounts to one AWeber list?

Yes. Each Google Ad Account is separate in LeadSync, but they can all feed the same AWeber list. Add multiple Lead Forms pointing to the same AWeber connection and list.

What happens if I add a new field to my Google form?

Go back to your Lead Form settings in LeadSync and add the mapping for the new field. Leads submitted after that will include the new field and it will sync to AWeber.

Does LeadSync charge per lead?

No. LeadSync charges a flat monthly rate. Sync 100 leads or 100,000 leads—your price stays the same.

Can I test before going live?

Absolutely. Set up the integration, submit a test lead through your Google form, and verify it shows up in your AWeber list. Once you’re confident it’s working, scale to your full campaigns.

What if I want different Google forms to go to different AWeber lists?

Create multiple connections in LeadSync, each pointing to a different AWeber list. Then connect each Google form to the connection you want. This gives you complete control over lead routing.

Is my AWeber data secure?

Yes. Your OAuth token is encrypted and stored securely. LeadSync only uses it to add subscribers to your list. You can revoke access in your AWeber account at any time.
